Plein- air-painting klaar/ ready

Hier is dan eindelijk mijn eerste schilderij van het openlucht schilderen: de koepoorts- brug in Middelburg. Hoewel best moeilijk te doen, omdat het toch weer heel andere technieken vergde, veel nieuwe manier van schilderen vraagt, ook veel sneller droogt met de zon en de wind op je papier vond ik dit ontzettend leuk om te doen! Natuurlijk was ik lang niet klaar in de 2 en half uur dat we bezig waren maar ik had een goed opzetje gemaakt en met een foto kon ik thuis nog wat verder gaan, met dit resultaat. En ach ja... natuurlijk ben je zelf nooit echt tevreden niet waar? 

Here it is, my first plein air painting, finaly ready: Koepoorts brug in Middelburg. It was nice to do and I liked painting in open air. I found it quite hard to do, because I needed different techniques en new ways to paints because with the sun on my paper and the wind around, everything dried so much faster then usually and needed to get acustomed to. I wasn't ready in the two and an half hour that we were painting, but I made a good start and with the photograph I could finish it at home. But well.. I think an artist is never really satistfied is she?

A bit late with posting, but I painted this wonderfull tulip a while a go after a challenge from the site Pant and Draw together where nice challenges are posted and where many artists post theiir wonderfull paintings. However the tulip is already changed for another flower, as I'm late with posting min after I had a nice little vacation in meantime. But I didn't want to let this one lay around
Ik ben een beetje laat met het posten van deze tulp die ik heb geschilderd in aquarel van de sitePaint and Draw Together waar elke maand nieuwe en leuke challenges gepost worden en vele artisten hun mooie werken tonen. Hoewel ik erg laat ben met het posten van mijn tulp, omdat ik een klein vakantietje in het noorden van het land heb genoten wilde ik jullie deze niet onthouden.

Heights

This little clown has always been scared of heights, in order to practice for later when he wants to join his dream to become a famous rope- dancer he has to start with these stilts......
Klein cloowntje had altijd al hoogte vrees, maar zijn grote droom is koorddanser worden, dus oefent hij en oefent hij met deze oude stelten......

Pastel Portret

Practised portret drawing last week on drawing lessons with pastels and this is the outcome:

Deze week was de opdracht tijdens tekenles om een portret te tekenen met pastelkrijt en dit was het resultaat.

Twee Oude Visser cotters

Tijdens een workshop bij Joke Klootwijk heb ik gewerkt aan deze aquarel, het was reuze leerzaam en weer erg gezellig en leuk om te doen, Bedankt Joke!

At a Workshop from Joke Klootwijk, I worked on this painting : two Old Fisher boats, it was very nice doing so and I learned a lot again. Thank you Joke!

Fluid

When painting it is best to take care that you don;t drink the fluid where you clean your pencils in....

Husky

Nearly finished : Husky, using graphite, it was very nice to draw this wonderfull dog with his bright eyes. I only need to finish his ears and darken a little more the darkest parts of his fur.
